From classroom
to blue water

Plan a course once as a template, then run it again and again, with sessions, students, attendance and make-up dives tracked from first theory lesson to final open water dive.

Course sessions

Every session,
in sequence

A course is a chain of sessions: theory in the classroom, skills in the pool, dives in open water. DivePilot keeps the chain in order and shows exactly what happens where and when.

  • Classroom, pool and open water session types
  • Open water dives linked to boat trips
  • Instructor assigned per course
  • Course status from planned to completed

Templates do the planning

Build the structure once, then focus on teaching instead of scheduling.

Course templates

Blueprint each course you teach, whether Open Water, Advanced or Rescue, with its full session structure. Starting a new class is one click, not an afternoon.

Enrollment & roster

Enroll students straight from your customer list. The roster shows each student's progress through every session of the course.

Attendance tracking

Mark who showed up and who didn't, session by session. A student's certification record is only as good as the dives behind it.

Make-up sessions

Seasick on dive day? Mark the absence and reassign the missed session to a later date or another running course.

Boat trip integration

Attach open water sessions to scheduled boat trips. Students take real seats on real boats, counted against real capacity.

Ready for certification

When the last dive is logged, the record is complete: sessions, attendance and instructor, everything the agency paperwork asks for.

Questions worth asking first

No. A course template holds the session structure once - classroom, confined water, open water - and every new course starts from it, so an Open Water in March looks the same as one in September.

Attendance is recorded per session, and a missed one can be made up later without rebuilding the course or affecting the other students on the roster.

Each course has a primary instructor, and that is who the course is credited to when it completes - which is also who course commission is paid to if you use payroll.
